What are Hydrosols?

Hydrosols are an alchemical union of our fresh mountain spring water and lovingly tended botanicals carefully distilled in a copper alembic still or glass still. They can be used as facial toners/refreshers and are exceptional carriers of the intelligent vibrational impulses of plant life. 

Hydrosols are a subtle yet ethereal form of the aromatic properties of plants. They contain the water-soluble component of plant life, literally the cellular waters of the plants!  Distillation is Alchemy: earth, water, fire, ether, air.

How do I use Hydrosols?

Hydrosols are very calming, refreshing, and hydrating and can be used in a variety of ways.  Hydrosols can be used as facial toners, misted to compliment during meditation, mixed to create a clay facial mask, and added to bath water.  They offer therapeutic properties and can be blended with other oils in aromatherapy applications.  Hydrosols can also be added to your favorite household cleaner. 

Hydrosol Care

Hydrosols have a shelf life of 1-2 years when stored properly, though it is best to use them within one year to enjoy their vitality.  Hydrosols are best stored out of direct sunlight and are meant to be used rather than stored, so use them liberally.

We take extra care to use sterile practices during collection and bottling of distillates. Please refrain from opening the spray top so as to maintain the sterile environment they were bottled in and maximize shelf life.
